The Nivada Chronosport channels the bold energy of 1970s sports chronographs — with a brushed and polished case that borders on geometric, a black dial with light gold subdials, and a purposeful, slightly busy layout that speaks to its tool-watch heritage.
The case design is assertive — slightly rectangular, yet softened by polished bevels and curved lugs. It plays well with directional lighting, so I leaned into hard/soft contrast to bring out both the brushed surfaces and polished details. The dial, though compact, offers depth: the subdials in warm champagne tones create a rich contrast against the matte black base, and I used low-key lighting to emphasize that separation.
Most of the images were shot on neutral backgrounds to let the monochrome palette and case finishing take the lead. But I also worked with red and blue backdrops in select shots — subtle nods to the watch's vintage racing DNA, and a way to inject a controlled sense of motion and character without overwhelming the subject.
The black bezel frames the dial cleanly and gives the whole piece a confident wrist presence. Macro shots focus on the subdial texture, chronograph hands, and the interplay between sharp case lines and dial complexity.
