Laine Watches
GG3 & GG4
Gelidus / Guilloché

Visual work for Laine Watches, focused on guilloché texture, material presence and a coherent visual language for independent watchmaking.

GG3 & GG4 explore the relationship between dial architecture and hand-finished detail, where surface and proportion carry the identity.

The objective of this project was to create imagery that communicates craft without emphasis - calm, precise and consistent across a full set of angles and crops.

The photographic approach was guided by clarity and intention - allowing the watches to read first as objects of design, then as objects of craft.

Lighting was controlled to reveal curvature and finishing without exaggeration, while composition followed the dial geometry to keep the series visually coherent. The surrounding elements remain quiet by design - present as context, not as distraction.

Detail is treated as structure, not ornament - the texture of the guilloché and the crispness of the numerals become the visual anchor of the set.

For watches defined by handwork, photography is most effective when it steps back - framing detail precisely and allowing craftsmanship to remain the focus.
