The 1969 Sunray Grey Timer is a refined expression of Singer Reimagined's motorsport-inspired design language.
Housed in stainless steel and paired with an integrated bracelet, it features a radiant sunburst dial in cool grey — accented by gold hour markers, a fluted gold inner bezel, and orange highlights on the chronograph hands.
This watch references the design cues of the early-'70s automotive instrumentation, but it does so with precision and restraint. I approached the shoot with the same mindset: clean light, subtle gradients, and tight control over reflections. The steel sunray dial reacts dramatically to angled lighting, so maintaining texture without glare was key. I used soft side light and slight diffusion to emphasize the dial's radial structure.
The bracelet gives the watch a strong presence on the wrist, and I focused on compositions that highlight its flow into the case — especially in profile. Macros were centered around the inner bezel and hand stack, where gold and orange details provide just the right amount of warmth against the cold grey backdrop.
